independent research organisation that specialises in transport-related issues. Our mission is
to improve the efficiency, safety, and environmental
sustainability of the transport sector. We fulfill our mission by
providing high quality, unbiased, independent information and analyses,
to both the government and the private sector.
TERNZ was established in 1997 as a spin-off from Industrial Research Ltd, one of the Crown Research Institutes. It is now completely independent and is a member of the Independent Research Association of New Zealand(IRANZ)
